Coffee, Coffee, Coffee

Like millions of others, I get up every morning and draw water from the tap.  I slip the filter into place and dutifully measure out the ground beans that go on it.  Then I wait as that roasted aroma wafts to my nose to let me know the coffee is done.  The only thing is… I don’t drink coffee.  I’ve actually never tasted coffee except on a spoon, but it doesn’t appeal to me in the least.  I don’t really like the smell of coffee.  I only like the smell of Community Coffee.

As school started this year and my wife could no longer sleep in until 7:30 on most mornings, she decided that she was going to start drinking coffee in the mornings to help her get moving.  I’ve come to accept it because she doesn’t drink it until she leaves the house with it, so I manage to avoid the coffee breath.  But she’s still not a morning person, so I make her coffee for her.  She says the way I make it tastes so much better than hers.  I think it’s just a ploy to get her coffee fix without having to do the work.  It can’t be that hard to make coffee.
