Another Saturday Morning
Every Saturday morning, my son has football practice at 8 am. That means that I have to get up on Saturday just like any other day of the week.
There are things about our practices that I will never understand. I don’t know why some of the kids never have practice jerseys. We’re a private school. You have money. Our kids almost never practice positional drills. Even today, all of the kids are doing the same positional drill – the chute drill.
It’s funny to watch them in the chute for the first time. For those that don’t know, the chute is a series of low metal bars that the player must run through while bent over. If you don’t stay low, the bars will take you out.
Of course, I am just hoping it doesn’t rain while I am typing this.
